Sew a Softie - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fingerpuppets (English)

 

It's that time again: Sew A Softie im July has started and I'm taking part with my finger puppets. You can try out over 60 sewing instructions for children from all over the world. "Magic" is the theme and there is a lot of magic to marvel at.  I decided very early on to make finger puppets and there was a neck-and-neck race between Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White. 

I sewed the finger puppets with pieces of felt from my stash. The finger pieces are 4x16cm and the dwarfs have grey and white beards. Snow White also has a decorative border on her dress and of course the fateful red apple.......

Medium Level: Itʼs a buttonhole stitches training really... you will need whip-, back-, blanket- and buttonhole stitches

For Beginners: Make a gift tag and use only whip stitches and try a french knots for the eyes...

If you like sewing or want to start, you need a  good pin cushion and needle book. So that's what were going to do together. What kind of pin cushion? I love hedgehog or cacti... it's all about spikes and spines.....

Sew a Softie - Samichlaus

I'm very happy to be part of Trixi's sew a softie - Christmas 2017. Here is my contribution to it: A Santa Claus felt ornament. 
It is inspired from a Origami Santa Ornament i did earlier this autumn. I'm happy with the result and it's a easy lesson of Geometrie for sure :-)

I'm very happy to be part of Trixi's sew a softie - valentines this year. Here is my contribution to it: Three easy bookmarks with hearts, flowers and a tiny bee. You can use small pieces of colourful felt and twine and crochet thread. Mix whatever you like and try free stitches. If you don't want to crochet, use a small silk ribbon instead.
